Twenty people from Burkina Faso have been rescued. They were brought to Ghana with promises of good jobs.

Instead, they became victims of a suspected human trafficking and cybercrime network. Engage Now Africa worked with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of EOCO to save them.

The victims were allegedly lured to Ghana under false pretenses.

Details about the operation and the specific nature of the cybercrime were not immediately available.

Authorities are investigating the network responsible for the alleged trafficking.

This rescue highlights ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking in the region.
