A group called the Center for Public Opinion and Awareness has asked the government to stop charging people money to apply for jobs in security services. This includes jobs in the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Prisons Service.

The group said this requirement makes it hard for many qualified citizens to join these important services. They issued a statement explaining their position.

CenPOA believes that applying for a job to serve the nation should not cost money. They feel this fee acts as a barrier for people who want to protect Ghana.

The organization called for an immediate end to this practice. They argue it is unfair and disadvantages many potential applicants.

The government has not yet responded to this call from CenPOA.
