The Ashanti Regional Police Command has initiated a formal investigation into the death of a gold dealer found in the Obuasi municipality. A report by 3News indicates the deceased was a forty five year old man discovered within his home on the morning of the incident. This discovery prompted an immediate response from law enforcement officials who cordoned off the area for a preliminary assessment.

Personnel from the Forensic Science Laboratory and the Regional Criminal Investigation Department arrived at the scene to collect evidence.
