Nawara Company Limited has filed a petition with the Ghana Police Service. The company wants an investigation into an alleged armed raid.
The incident reportedly happened on August 12, 2026, at the company's mining premises. This is according to a petition sent to the Director-General of the Ghana Police Service.
Nawara Ltd. states that the raid resulted in a death. Gunshot injuries were also reported among staff.
The company also claims that valuable equipment was destroyed. The estimated cost of the damage is in the millions of dollars.
Robbery was also reported as part of the alleged raid.
The petition asks for a full inquiry into the events of that day.
