The Ghana Gold Board known as GoldBod has partnered with the Ghana Geological Survey Authority GGSA. An agreement was signed yesterday to carry out new investigations.
These investigations will focus on areas that are thought to contain minerals but are currently inaccessible for mining operations. This aims to unlock new opportunities for the mining sector.
Mr Sammy Gyamfi was present at the signing ceremony along with officials from both organizations. The specific details of the blocked areas were not immediately disclosed.
The partnership is expected to provide valuable geological data. This information will help in assessing the mineral potential of these restricted zones.
Both GoldBod and GGSA are committed to thorough exploration methods. This will ensure that any findings are accurate and reliable.
The outcome of these investigations could lead to new mining concessions being granted. This could boost Ghana's gold production and economic growth.
