Investigations into taxes allegedly charged to illegal miners in Amansie Central are almost complete. This was announced by Paa Kwesi Schandorf, the Media Relations Officer at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Mr. Schandorf stated that the probe has made significant progress.
He mentioned that the findings are expected to be released this week.
The investigations were launched following reports of levies being imposed on galamsey operators in the area.
The Ministry is looking into the details of these alleged charges.
