A man named Vincent Apetor has been remanded in custody by a court.

Apetor pleaded guilty to spending GH¢114,000 that his girlfriend gave him.

The money was intended for visa fees and travel expenses for a trip to Holland.

Instead of saving the funds, Apetor used most of the money on football betting.

Police arrested Apetor following a report from his girlfriend.

He appeared before the court on July 6, 2026.

The court has ordered that he remain in custody.

Further legal proceedings are expected.
