Two people have been arrested by the police in Accra. They are accused of taking bribes to help students get into senior high schools.

The arrests are related to the Computerised School Selection and Placement System. This system is used to place students in schools across the country.

The suspects have been named as Vicentia Appiah Antwi, who is 24 years old, and Suzzy Owusu, who is 18 years old.

The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service made the arrests at a Computerised School Selection and Placement System centre.

Authorities are investigating the alleged bribery activities. The police have not yet released further details on how the scheme operated.

This incident raises concerns about fairness in the school placement process. The Ghana Police Service is committed to ensuring the integrity of the system.
