Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested two men. They are Yaw Poku and Kwabena Mensah. They are accused of making and selling fake Okoo herbal medicine.

The arrests happened in Atonsu. This was after the police received information.

Police conducted an intelligence-led operation. This led to the apprehension of the two suspects.

The suspects were allegedly packaging and selling counterfeit medicine. This poses a risk to public health.

The Ghana Police Service is continuing its investigation into the matter.

Authorities are working to remove these fake products from the market.
