Two men have been arrested by the police. Their names are Kwabena Owusu and Samuel Kwabena Amoah.
They are accused of taking money from a businessman. The amount involved is GH₵140,000.
The police statement said the suspects allegedly took the money under the promise of securing a contract. This contract was supposed to be with a mining company.
The alleged fraud happened recently. The businessman reported the incident to the authorities.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter further.
The suspects are currently in police custody.
Further legal actions will be determined after the investigation.
