Police in Odumase Krobo have arrested three individuals believed to be involved in counterfeiting US dollars. The operation took place in the Laasi area of the Eastern Region.
The suspects have been identified as Ebenezer Natsu, aged 20, George Attor, aged 48, and Bishop Robert Olertey, aged 54. They were apprehended following a raid on their hideout.
During the raid, officers discovered a quantity of counterfeit US dollars. The exact amount is currently part of the ongoing investigation.
The Ghana Police Service stated that the operation was a result of intelligence gathering and swift police action.
The suspects are being held by the police in Odumase Krobo. Further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the operation and identify any other potential accomplices.
