Three men were arrested in Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern Region for making fake US dollars. The police made the arrests after raiding a place where the suspects were hiding.
Officials identified the arrested men as Ebenezer Natsu, aged 20; George Attor, aged 48; and Bishop Robert Olertey, aged 54.
The police found counterfeit US dollars at the hideout. The amount of fake money discovered is still being counted.
This operation was carried out by the Ghana Police Service in the Odumase-Krobo district.
The arrested individuals are now in police custody. Investigations are continuing to uncover the full extent of the counterfeiting operation.
Authorities are examining how the fake money was produced and who else might be involved. The public has been urged to be cautious of counterfeit currency.
