Police in Odumase-Krobo, Eastern Region, have arrested three suspects. The arrests were made after police raided a hideout in the Laasi area. The operation led to the confiscation of counterfeit US dollars.

The suspects identified are Ebenezer Natsu aged 20 George Attor aged 48 and Bishop Robert Olertey aged 54. They were found with a quantity of fake US currency.

The Public Relations Officer for the Eastern Regional Police Command confirmed the arrests and the seizure of the counterfeit money. The police stated that the suspects will face charges related to counterfeiting.

This action is part of an ongoing effort by the Ghana Police Service to combat financial crimes in the region. The public is urged to report suspicious activities to the authorities.

The investigation into the source and distribution network of the counterfeit money is continuing. Authorities aim to dismantle the entire operation.
