Police have arrested three individuals in Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern Region. The arrests followed a raid on a hideout used by the suspects.
The arrested men have been identified as Ebenezer Natsu, age 20; George Attor, age 48; and Bishop Robert Olertey, age 54.
During the operation, police discovered counterfeit US dollars. The suspects were apprehended at their base in Laasi.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the extent of the counterfeiting operation.
Authorities have seized the fake currency as evidence.
