Three individuals have been arrested in Odumase-Krobo for allegedly producing fake United States dollars. The suspects were apprehended following a police raid on their suspected hideout. The operation took place in the Laasi area of Odumase-Krobo. The Ghana Police Service confirmed the arrests.
The arrested men are identified as Ebenezer Natsu, aged 20, George Attor, 48, and Bishop Robert Olertey, 54. They are accused of being involved in the counterfeiting operation. Police found a quantity of counterfeit US dollars at the scene of the raid.
Authorities stated that the raid was part of an ongoing effort to combat criminal activities in the region. The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations. Further details about the operation were not immediately released.
