Police in Odumase-Krobo, Eastern Region, have arrested three individuals on suspicion of counterfeiting United States dollars. The arrests occurred after a police raid on a hideout.

The suspects have been identified as Ebenezer Natsu, aged 20; George Attor, aged 48; and Bishop Robert Olertey, aged 54. They were apprehended at their hideout located in the Laasi area.

During the operation, police seized a quantity of counterfeit US dollars from the suspects. The exact amount of fake currency discovered is not yet specified.

The Ghana Police Service is investigating the source of the counterfeit money and the extent of the operation. Authorities are working to determine if more individuals are involved.

The suspects are currently in police custody. They are expected to face charges in court soon.
