Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested three people. They are accused of a large-scale fraud.
The arrests were made by the Ashanti Regional Police Command. The suspects allegedly defrauded investors of GHS1.7 million.
Authorities say the individuals promised investors significant returns on their money. These promised returns never materialized.
The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
The suspects are currently in police custody. Further legal action is expected.
