Seven traders in Koforidua have been taken into police custody following allegations of adulterating palm oil with a suspected Sudan dye. The arrests come after laboratory tests confirmed contamination in samples obtained from the market.

The operation, a collaborative effort between the Ghana Police Service and the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), was initiated after concerns were raised about the quality of palm oil being sold. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the alleged contamination and the involvement of the arrested individuals.
