Police officers in Odumase-Krobo have seized more than one million US dollars in fake money. They also refused a bribe offered by the suspects.
Three men were arrested on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This happened after police received information about their activities.
The arrests were made by the Odumase-Krobo Police Command. Detective Corporal Williams Asante led the operation.
The suspects were found with a large amount of counterfeit US currency. The exact counterfeit value is still being investigated.
Authorities stated that the suspects attempted to bribe the police officers with GH¢200,000.
The police rejected the bribe and proceeded with the arrests. This shows their commitment to fighting crime.
The Eastern Regional Police command confirmed the incident. Investigations are ongoing to find other possible members of this currency syndicate.
