Three people have been arrested by the Odumase-Krobo Police for possessing counterfeit money. The suspects were found with more than one million US dollars in fake currency. The Ghana Police Service stated that the operation was intelligence-led.
The arrests took place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Odumase-Krobo. Detective Corporal Williams Asante led the operation based on information received.
During the arrest, the suspects offered the police GH₵200,000 as a bribe to avoid prosecution. The police rejected the bribe.
