Police in Odumase-Krobo have arrested three men. They were found with more than one million US dollars in fake money. This happened following an alert police received.

The suspects were taken into custody on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The arrest was the result of investigations by the Odumase-Krobo Police. Detective Corporal Williams Asante led the operation.

During their arrest, the suspects tried to bribe the police officers. They offered GH¢200,000 to the officers. The police rejected the bribe.

The Eastern Regional Police command confirmed the arrests. They stated that the operation was based on intelligence.

The amount of fake currency seized is over one million US dollars. The exact denomination of the fake currency is not yet detailed.

The police are continuing their investigations into the counterfeit currency syndicate. More information is expected to be released by the Ghana Police Service.
