Police in Odumase-Krobo have stopped a group suspected of using fake money. They arrested three people found with more than one million US dollars that was not real.
The suspects also tried to give police GH₵200,000 to let them go. This bribe was refused by the officers.
The Eastern Regional Police command reported that the arrests happened on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The operation was based on information received earlier.
