Police in Odumase Krobo have seized a large quantity of suspected counterfeit US dollar notes.
The discovery was made after officers found 105 bundles of the fake currency. The money was hidden inside a metal trunk at Odumase Laasi.
Suspects involved in the case attempted to bribe the police officers. They offered a sum of GH¢200,000.
The police officers steadfastly rejected the bribe. They upheld their duty to investigate the crime.
The seized currency is believed to be counterfeit US dollars. An investigation into the source of the fake money is underway.
