Police officers in Odumase Krobo have successfully seized a large quantity of suspected counterfeit US dollar notes.
The notes were found hidden inside a metal trunk.
The discovery was made at Odumase Laasi.
Following the seizure, suspects attempted to bribe the police.
They offered GH¢200,000 to the officers.
The police officers, acting with integrity, rejected the substantial bribe.
The value of the seized suspected fake currency is still being determined.
Investigations are ongoing into the source of the counterfeit money.
