Police officers in Odumase Krobo have refused a bribe of GH¢200,000. They rejected this money from suspects they had arrested.
The suspects were found with a large quantity of suspected counterfeit US dollar notes. This seizure happened in Odumase Laasi.
A total of 105 bundles of the suspected fake money were discovered. They were hidden inside a metal trunk.
The police acted based on intelligence received. Officers quickly moved to the location to investigate.
Upon apprehending the suspects and finding the suspected fake currency, a bribe was offered. The amount of the bribe was GH¢200,000.
Police officials stated clearly that they would not accept the bribe. They emphasized their commitment to upholding the law.
The suspects and the seized items are now in police custody. Further investigations are underway by the Ghana Police Service.
