Authorities in Odumase-Krobo have arrested three people for possessing counterfeit currency. The suspects were found with over one million US dollars in fake bills.

The arrests were made on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This followed an operation based on information received by the Odumase-Krobo Police Command.

The Eastern Regional Police command confirmed the incident. Detective Corporal Williams Asante led the team that made the arrests.

During the arrest, the suspects offered the police officers GH¢200,000 as a bribe.

The police rejected the bribe. They proceeded with the arrest of the suspects.
