Police officers in the Ashanti Region have stopped a large amount of fake fertilizer from reaching farmers. Approximately 500 bags were seized during a police operation.

The counterfeit fertilizer was found and impounded by the Ashanti Regional Police Command. The products are believed to be intended for sale to farmers who would not know they were fake.

Authorities are currently investigating the origin of these fake fertilizer bags. The goal is to identify who is responsible for creating and distributing them.

The seizure prevents potential financial losses for farmers who might have bought the fake product. It also protects the integrity of agricultural inputs in the region.

Further details about the ongoing investigation will be released by the Ghana Police Service as they become available.

This action aims to protect the agricultural sector from fraudulent products.
