Accra Central Police have arrested a man suspected of dealing in counterfeit money. The arrest followed the seizure of a large amount of fake Ghanaian Cedi notes.
Officers from the Accra Central Divisional Police Command carried out the operation.
The suspect was apprehended for allegedly possessing and attempting to put fake cash into circulation.
The Ghana Police Service confirmed the confiscation of the counterfeit currency.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the operation.
