The Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service has apprehended a group suspected of operating fraudulent job recruitment websites. This operation was based on intelligence gathered by the police.

The syndicate is accused of deceiving numerous job seekers across the country. Many individuals reportedly lost money believing they were applying for legitimate job openings.

Authorities stated that these fake portals were designed to appear authentic, making it difficult for applicants to identify the scam.

The Ghana Police Service did not initially specify the number of victims or the total amount of money believed to have been lost.

This action highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat online scams and protect citizens from financial fraud.

Further investigations are underway to identify all members of the alleged network and any additional victims.
