A circuit court in Accra has sentenced a pastor to 10 years in prison with hard labour. The court found the 45-year-old man guilty of multiple fraud charges.

The pastor defrauded his congregants of GHS 500,000. He had promised them investment opportunities that would yield returns.

Instead, the pastor took the money from his church members. He did not provide any investments as promised.

The court heard evidence that showed he deliberately misled the congregants. This led to the conviction on fraud charges.

The Judicial Service confirmed the sentence. It stated the conviction was based on evidence presented during the trial.

This case highlights the importance of vigilance when it comes to financial schemes. It also shows that the courts take fraud seriously.
