A self-proclaimed pastor has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service. He is accused of defrauding his followers.

The amount involved is GHC200,000. This money was allegedly obtained through false pretenses and fraudulent schemes.

Authorities state the pastor made promises that were not fulfilled. This led to congregants losing their money.

The Ghana Police Service urges anyone who believes they have been a victim to report to the nearest police station.
