The Accra Regional Police Command took the suspect into custody. The arrest followed a report of fraud involving a significant sum of money.
The businesswoman allegedly gave the suspect GHS 50,000. This was based on promises of lucrative returns on an investment.
However, the promised returns never materialized. The victim reported the incident to the police. The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the alleged fraud. Police are working to recover the defrauded funds.
