Immigration officers at Kotoka International Airport have arrested a Nigerian national. The arrest was made because the individual allegedly tried to offer a bribe.
The suspect reportedly offered money to the officers. This was to try and get them to allow him into the country faster.
The immigration officers refused the bribe. They then took the suspect into custody.
The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest. The suspect is currently being held by the police.
Further investigation into the bribery attempt is underway by the authorities.
