A Kumasi Circuit Court has sentenced a 45-year-old man to 10 years in prison. He was convicted on charges of fraud.

The man had promised investors large profits from a fake investment plan. These promised returns never materialized for the victims.

The court heard that the accused defrauded several individuals. The total amount lost by the victims was GHC250,000.

Police statement indicated the suspect was arrested after investigations.

The ruling was delivered by the Circuit Court judge in Kumasi.
