Police in Ghana have arrested a man named Ebenezer Nyarkotey. He is 35 years old.

Nyarkotey is accused of pretending to be an officer in the military. He allegedly told a trader he could help them get a contract.

The trader reportedly paid Nyarkotey GHS 12,000 for this supposed assistance.

Authorities arrested Nyarkotey after the trader reported the incident.

Ghana Police Service officials confirmed the arrest.

Nyarkotey is currently in police custody and will face charges related to impersonation and fraud.

This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat fraud in the country.
