Police report that a 30-year-old man named Bismark Amoh was held captive after being accused of mobile money fraud.
His family paid GH¢19,500 to the abductors in an attempt to secure his freedom.
However, the kidnappers did not release him even after receiving this payment.
They continued to hold Mr. Amoh until the full ransom amount was settled.
