Kwadwo Mensah, who is 28 years old, has been arrested by the police. He was apprehended in Kumasi.
Mensah is accused of pretending to be a police officer. He allegedly extorted money from members of the public.
During his arrest, police reportedly found a fake police identification card on Mensah.
A fake police uniform was also allegedly discovered with the suspect.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter.
Further investigations will determine the full extent of Mensah's alleged crimes.
