Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested a 35-year-old man. He is accused of defrauding more than 20 people. The total amount involved is around GH¢50,000.

The suspect allegedly promised victims job opportunities that did not exist. He also reportedly offered fake investment schemes.

This arrest was made by the Ashanti Regional Police Command. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The Ghana Police Service is urging the public to be cautious of such scams.

Victims reported losing money with the promise of employment or quick returns on investments.

Authorities are working to recover the defrauded funds.
