A man has been arrested in Accra. He is 35 years old.
The Ghana Police Service said the man allegedly pretended to be the secretary for President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Police have taken him into custody.
Official sources state the suspect used this false identity to defraud people.
Investigations into the full extent of the fraud are ongoing.
