Ashanti Regional Police have arrested a 45-year-old man. He is suspected of operating a fraudulent investment scheme.
The man allegedly promised investors high returns on their money.
However, he failed to deliver on these promises. Several individuals reported being defrauded.
The total amount lost by investors is estimated to be GHS500,000.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter.
The suspect is currently in police custody.
