Airport Police have arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with a GH₵500,000 fraud. The arrest was made recently by the Airport Police.
Authorities state the suspect allegedly pretended to be a business partner. This was done to trick the Chinese national into a fraudulent transaction.
The victim lost GH₵500,000 as a result of the alleged scam.
This alleged fraud falls under the category of financial crimes. Such acts harm individuals and damage trust in business dealings.
The suspect is currently in police custody. The Ghana Police Service is continuing investigations into the matter.
Further legal action will follow the completion of the police inquiry.
