Police have arrested a 29-year-old man. He is accused of defrauding 18 people of GHS300,000.
The arrest was made by the National Criminal Investigations Department. The suspect is alleged to have sold plots of land in Dawhenya. He then reportedly took the money and disappeared.
The Ghana Police Service confirmed the arrest. An investigation into the fraud allegations is underway.
The alleged fraudulent activities occurred recently in the Dawhenya area.
