Police in the Greater Accra Region have arrested a 35-year-old man named Kwabena Osei. He is accused of posing as an operative of the Bureau of National Investigations BNI.
Mr. Osei allegedly deceived a businessman. He promised to assist the victim with a land dispute case. This alleged deception led to the businessman losing GHS 30,000.
The arrest was made by the Accra Regional Police command. Authorities are holding Kwabena Osei for questioning.
The Ghana Police Service stated that the suspect will face charges related to impersonation and fraud. Further investigations are underway.
