The Ghana Police Service has arrested Joseph Bortey, 40, for allegedly using a fake police identification card.
Bortey is accused of extorting money from members of the public in the Greater Accra Region.
His alleged scam had been ongoing for several months, according to police investigations.
The police apprehended Bortey and recovered a fake police ID card from him.
