Police in Accra have arrested a 32-year-old man named Richard Adu.
He is accused of defrauding a taxi driver of GH₵2,000.
The incident happened on or around June 5, 2026.
Adu allegedly posed as someone wanting to buy the taxi.
He took the driver to a mobile money station.
Adu claimed he would send the money for the taxi.
The Ghana Police Service stated that Adu then fled the scene.
The taxi driver lost GH₵2,000 in the alleged scam.
Investigators are looking into the details of the transaction.
Further legal action will follow this arrest.
