A man appeared in court charged with fraud. Isaac Mensah, aged 34, allegedly tricked his colleague out of a large sum of money.
The Ofankor District Court heard that Mensah promised to secure his colleague a job with the Ghana Revenue Authority. He asked for GHS 50,000 for this promise.
Mensah was arrested and brought before the court. He has been denied bail and will remain in custody.
Mensah has told the court that he is not guilty of the charges brought against him.
The court is continuing to hear the case. Further investigation details are expected from the prosecution.
