Two individuals have been convicted by the Asokwa Circuit Court in Kumasi. They were found guilty of posing as nurses at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The court ordered Evelyn Ataa Amankwah, 33, and Collins Agyemang Badu, 25, to each pay a fine of GH₵12,000. This brings the total fines to GH₵24,000.

Both defendants pleaded guilty to all charges brought against them.

Amankwah lives in Brofoyedu and works as a private nurse. Badu's occupation was listed as a disease control officer.

The court heard that the two had falsely presented themselves as staff members of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Their conviction follows an investigation by the authorities into their activities.

The Judicial Service confirmed the court's decision and the imposed fines.

This case highlights the importance of verifying credentials when dealing with healthcare professionals.
