Accra Police have arrested eight individuals. These suspects are accused of impersonating officials to defraud the public.

The arrests were made following investigations into an alleged online scam syndicate.

Authorities stated that the suspects operated by pretending to be someone they were not. This allowed them to trick members of the public out of their money.

The full extent of the alleged fraud is still under investigation by the police.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and online fraud in Accra.

The Ghana Police Service urges the public to be vigilant against online scams.
