A driver has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service. The suspect is accused of scamming a businessman out of more than GHS200,000.

The police took Kwabena Mensah into custody. He is alleged to have convinced the businessman to invest in a company that does not exist.

The alleged fraud occurred in Accra. Investigations are ongoing.

Officials stated that the arrest follows a complaint filed by the victim.

The Ghana Police Service has urged the public to be cautious of investment schemes that promise quick and high returns.

Mensah is currently assisting the police with their investigations.
