A businessman has been arrested and is now in police custody. George Narh is 56 years old.
He appeared before the Dansoman Circuit Court. The court decided to keep him in police custody.
Narh is accused of taking GH¢500,000.
This money was allegedly given to him by the chairman of a company.
Narh is said to have promised to supply gold. He failed to do so after receiving the money.
Police have charged him with defrauding by false pretence. This is against the law in Ghana.
